Deborah obtained both her law degree and her Masters of Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1982.
Deborah deals with all aspects of claims arising from separation and divorce, and has extensive experience in litigation, mediation and arbitration. Deborah is trained as a mediator, and the skills she has developed in that capacity have been valuable in her day-to-day practice.
Deborah has authored numerous papers on a variety of topics; most recently, she co-authored a chapter on forensic evidence which appears in Evidence in Family Law. Deborah's Masters of Law thesis, entitled "ADR in the Corporate Environment," has also been published.
Deborah has participated in several panel discussions on a number of family law related issues, and is also a former instructor for the Ontario Bar Admission course.
Deborah began her career working with Harold Niman, and later worked as a sole practitioner. Deborah has been with Niman Gelgoot and Associates LLP since June of 2005.
